For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10

I want to share on the preparation for the preparation. As blood redeemed eternal children, there is a time. The prepared way is the Lord’s way. One of the greatest opportunities given to believers is to meet Eternal Father at His appointed time. As we approach the precursor month of Elul, it is in the current month, Av (Father), that we prepare the way of the Lord. Elul is the next Hebrew month before the appointed time, Yom Teruah, or the Day of Blowing a.k.a Rosh HaShanah.

In preparing for the upcoming Fall feasts, it is important to note it is the Lord that we seek. It is not so important as to how we celebrate but that we know who it is that calls us during this time. The Lord is looking for our response as to who He is. Every born-again believer in Yeshua is a reflection in the earth of a loving yet a justice-seeking Father. Seeking God is to look first to love. Love expresses salvation beyond just ourselves. The Lord is most discovered within our humanity, in relationships with others, and in knowing ourselves. Our search for the Lord’s will is fully bound up within our being His image and likeness. We come to know Him through the deep connections we make with others. The Divine presence of the Almighty Creator manifests in those whom we allow ourselves to love.

Salvation is more than the saving of self. Salvation is the saving of humanity – the nature of community. The problem with this is that most people humanize God in their salvation walk. When a person humanizes God, they hinder the process of being joined to Him through the begotten Son, Yeshua. We are to encounter the Lord in every person. We are to discover ourselves in how we relate to one another and, in doing so, allow love to perfect all things. Every person is created in the image of God and after His likeness. Each person is an earthly repository of the fullness of Creator. Salvation causes an unbroken awareness of this. In salvation, the way to knowing the fullness of God is the Lord’s perfecting His prepared way.

Perfection is a misunderstood term. Many mistakenly unconsciously take it to mean the ability to be all things to all people; to do everything flawlessly and to never make a mistake. This is not accurate in describing the function of perfection. Perfection is the Lord’s ability to fulfill His will in and through our lives. Psalms 138:8 says “The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.” The word “accomplish” is also perfect, complete, perform or to end. It is not our place to bring Father’s will to pass. It is our place to prepare for His way to be accomplished in us. Most of us have a pedestrian vision of good or blessed. Though we live our lives in pursuit of happiness, it is the Lord only that causes the spiritual excellence required and the blessings to come with it. It truly is the blessings of the Lord that make us rich without sorrow.

It could be said that we are the products of our own dreams and realizations. Neither dreams nor what we may realize demonstrate how we are to prepare ourselves for the Lord’s way. It is religious pride that is often the impeding culprit when it comes to not preparing the way of the Lord. Pride is the greatest prison for the soul. Pride keeps a person locked up in their own ignorance. Pride is deceptive and causes spiritual blindness. One of the highest forms of pride is selfishness. It is a selfishness that believes itself to be the only answer to life’s issues. In many cases, it is pride that rejects the Lord’s correction and, in doing so, rejects the Lord’s love. When the Lord’s love is not received at the Lord’s level, there is spiritual stagnation. It is important to recognize this because in the Lord’s kingdom everything is multiplying. Everything is going from glory to glory. The increase and expansion of glory serve as the witness to the Lord’s sovereign authority.

As we are in the month of preparing to prepare, we must look closely at the Lord’s heart. In doing so, we must investigate our own hearts. Is there the heart of an eternal son? If so, is that heart looking for the Lord to perfect all that concerns it? Sonship indicates a given authority because it is the extension of the Lord’s eternal kingdom. It comes from the Spirit realm. Whoever Eternal Father raises through His son, He does from the state of humility, not authority. We must develop the trait of humility to be open to the truth. In doing so, we know the Lord’s kindness. Kindness is God’s greatness in a person. Kindness defines humility in such a way that the supernatural nature of the Father is able to heal all things beginning with the person that has prepared the way of the Lord.

Kindness gives of self to bring a person to the place to who they are in the Lord. The foundation to human life is expressed in “you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” The question is how well do you love yourself? Loving self begins with seeing the image of God in every person starting with yourself. It is kindness that recognizes the Lord’s image and likeness in a person. Remember it was only man’s dominion that was taken in the beginning. In preparing the way we must know that there is a restoration, redemption, and revival happening with every breath taken within the reality of true salvation. These three are to bring the Lord’s way into the earth. Salvation is not to have our way, but to know the Lord’s way always. There is no right to say no in the Lord’s kingdom. There is the prepared way that we must seek to know and live. The only position we are in is “yes” Lord.

Prepare the way of the Lord

Shalom

Yisrael
